Winter has a way of settling in, even here in South Texas. The mornings feel a little cooler, the skies a little duller, and the days don’t always pull you outside like they used to. But the nice thing is, you don’t have to wait it out. You can step away from it for a while.
In Galveston, your week begins just a few steps from the water, where the Symphony of the Seas is waiting. Once you’re onboard, things settle quickly. Coffee with an ocean view in the morning, a warm breeze by afternoon, and evenings filled with good meals and easy conversation. There’s plenty to do, or not do, depending on what you feel like that day.
The ports come one at a time, each with its own pace. In Costa Maya, you might wander through shops, find a quiet beach, or sit with a drink and watch the water. Roatan is known for its clear water and reefs, the kind of place where even a short time in the water feels worth it. And in Cozumel, you’ll find a little bit of everything, shopping, good food, and the option to explore further if you choose.
In between, the days at sea give you time to enjoy the ship itself. The weather warms, the pace slows, and you start to fall into a rhythm that feels pretty easy to keep.
At the end of the week, you return to Texas with your Rockport Tours motor coach waiting, and a stop at Prasek's Family Smokehouse for kolaches and jerky along the way.
