Step back in time
with a Victorian
Christmas in Galveston
The sights and sounds of Victorian London are created right before your
very eyes at the Strand National Historic Landmark District in
Galveston, Texas! “Dickens on the Strand features hundreds of costumed
volunteers, vendors, entertainers and characters dressed in Victorian
attire. It’s a scene right out the Charles Dickens’ novel, “A Christmas
Carol”. Feast on appetizing food and drink; shop vendors peddling
hand-crafted gifts and enjoy continuous entertainment on every block.
The trip also includes the Queens Parade and the Pickwick Lantern Light
Parade. This annual event is organized by the Galveston Historical
Foundation.
DICKENS ON THE STRAND features comfy
